Our adult ballet class, level 1, is a perfect introduction to ballet, appropriate for students with or without previous dance experience as exercises are taught with a multi- level. Ballet Level 2 devotes less time to reviewing basics and is directed towards progressing to turns and more comprehensive allegro and adagio combinations.
The adult hip hop class at ReFlex is a fast moving jazz class that includes floor progressions and center combinations that move briskly and expressively. Considered this class an instructional dance class rather than just a “fun workout” and come prepared to learn movement concepts, new moves and how to cut loose and dance for the joy of it.
The adult tap classes at ReFlex cover all basic tap dancing skills. Level 1 is appropriate for beginners, teaching and reinforcing foundation skills while developing coordination and encouraging self expression. Level 2 is a more challenging class, appropriate only for students with previous tap experience who are ready to expand the envelope and make serious music with their feet. If you love to tap, you will love this class.
Take your dancing to the social level and get fit while learning moves that prepare you to cut loose the next time you are out with friends or on a date. The most popular styles on the dance floor today are Salsa and West Coast Swing, both of which can be done to a variety of music and is commonly practiced by people who enjoy dancing with a partner. ReFlex offers basic instructional classes to provide a good foundation in elementary steps. When you are ready, you’ll be encouraged to experiment with style, try fun twists on the basics and taught more challenging foot patterns and partner tricks. A partner is not required.
Zumba classes feature exotic rhythms set to high-energy Latin and international beats such as salsa, merengue, flamenco, cha-cha, reggaeton, cumbia, hip-hop, and bachata. Before participants know it, they’re getting fit and their energy levels are soaring! Specific beats and tempo changes transition the workout from toning and strengthening to fast cardio moves, targeting every major muscle group in the body. This is a high energy aerobic workout that enables participants to lose weight, build cardio endurance, improve coordination and most importantly, have FUN!
