"Three qualities are required if one is to become and artist, One must have aptitude, or the ability to acquire mastery of the art; one must have tremendous love for one’s art in order to work on it with determination, effort and concentration, and one must have imagination and creativity to develop the art along new and unknown paths."
For students wanting to take a class in an area of dance for the simple joy of trying something new or exploring the arts, recreational classes are ideal.
Each subject is taught in an hour‐long class once a week, which provides ample time and focus to develop a good foundation in the subject. (Sorry we do not offer combination classes to students over 8, because at least one hour is required to teach any subject properly.)
Student's wanting broad exposure to dance with limited time commitment may choose to enroll in several classes, for example one jazz and one ballet class per week, for a well rounded introduction to dance. We offer discounts for multiple classes.
The emphasis in recreational classes is to make dance engaging and fun and to give students a solid set of skills that will develop self‐esteem, coordination and fitness.
