The 200 hour Yoga Alliance yoga teacher's certification at ReFlex is a mentoring program that guides future teachers and/or enthusiastic yoga aficionados to a better understanding of not only the alignment, physiology, and the physical practice of yoga, but the mental & spiritual elements of yoga as well. History, philosophy, yoga scriptures and the core beliefs of living your yoga are introduced through readings, academic discussions, classroom exercises and research projects. ReFlex RYT Training is a life altering experience as the true beauty and life affirming aspects of yoga are introduced in creative and down-to-earth ways so they can be comfortably embraced and practiced.

Yoga teacher’s training is not a career choice as much as a is a life-affirming nudge to new directions in work, relationships or personal enrichment and happiness.

This involved yoga study course enriches your life and identity as you study intimately with a close group of like-minded individuals to learn about yourself, yoga and the world at large. Each training weekend covers areas of yoga that cannot be addressed in the typical movement-based yoga class, including not just a broad view of yoga technique, but inner reflection as well.

Students often participate in RYT training just for personal growth and to explore yoga on a deeper level, but once the course is completed, all participants also qualify for Yoga Alliance certification, preparing them to teach yoga. The more you learn about the beauty of yoga, the more you will want to give back, and teaching, whether it becomes a permanent career or just something you do part time for the joy of it or to offset the cost of your own yoga practice is the most rewarding way to live your yoga. In addition to teaching students HOW to teach yoga, this course discusses the many venues a certified yoga teacher has for teaching yoga classes (corporate or private) and helps students with an interest in teaching yoga find ways to get themselves established.   

Yoga Teacher's Training at ReFlex covers Teacher's Training elements as required by the leading yoga qualifying organization in America, Yoga Alliance. Our program also includes a full year of teacher trainee workshops, and in the summer session you also become chair yoga certified. Students are invited to join us this fall for the next aerial yoga certification without further investment as well.  SCHEDULE FOR REFLEX YOGA SUMMER INTENSIVE 2012:

Classes run from June 29 through August 12 


Dates:

  • Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 8am-6pm. June 29-Jul 1, July 6-8, July 13-15, July 20&22, July 27-29 (chair yoga certification weekend), August 3-5, August 10-12.
  • Attendees will be encouraged to take unlimited classes at ReFlex, beginning before the course (June 1) and for the duration of the course, free of charge as part of their yoga immersion experience.
  • Please see our regular (Fall and Spring) yoga teacher trainee course descriptions for required reading material, additional information and/or an application.

WORRIED ABOUT THE COMMITMENT?

If you have trouble making all these dates due to vacation plans or other responsibilities, we offer a generous make-up policy that provides opportunity to catch up on any work you missed at the next Teacher’s Training session (beginning in October.) Your studies won’t suffer if life gets in the way. There are no additional fees involved and you don’t have to worry about missing vital information that will leave you with holes in your comprehensive yoga education. No one leaves our teacher’s training course without feeling totally confident and prepared to share yoga with others. If a student feels they need additional teaching practice or as second review of the material, we invite them to take as much (or all) of the course again. We’ve had several people for whom unexpected distractions made it difficult to fully grasp the material and they chose to reinforce their understanding of yoga by repeating the course in its entirety again (complementary, of course) . In every case these individuals have said that having the chance to approach their studies at their own pace provided them a stronger yoga foundation then they ever imagined they’d possess and gave them the confidence to truly proceed to new levels of yoga involvement. And they were blessed to enjoy the experience and forge additional bonding friendships with additional remarkable people this way as well.
