Write your way to a deeper understanding of yourself and the world at large.
Writing is one of the most effective techniques for making poignant connections, uncovering hidden feelings, and defining your deepest yearnings, personal desires, and goals. Gain clarity and insight about your relationships and explore the triggers for your behaviors and the walls that hold you back from achieving happiness and personal contentment. As you define your wants and needs, writing can lead to fresh insight, suggesting new paths and discovering hidden doorways to free your spirit. An intimate and profound way to set goals, relieve stress, embrace emotional healing, or to awaken your creative spirit, journaling is a great key to feeling balanced, inspired, and at peace.
This journaling workshop offers a variety of techniques and creative exercises for self-discovery. Learn new tools and novel approaches to explore your inner world through private writing. The course includes in-class exercises, provides insights to the power of writing, and offers suggestions about how to overcome self-consciousness or privacy concerns. Students take home pages of writing ideas and prompts, making this three hour course the foundation for a lifetime of inspiration.
The Creative Journaling Workshop is taught by Ginny East. Ginny has a Masters in Fine Arts in Creative Writing and is an RYT 500 yoga instructor. She has won numerous writing awards, and has taught in seminars and for organizations nationwide.
Memoir writing and journaling is often the best way to make sense of the world and to understand your place in it.
ReFLEX periodically schedules writing workshops to fine tune
reflective thought and personal expression, helping authors refine
their voice through creative writing exercises, group discussion, and
through supportive feedback from fellow writers and teachers. Whether
you write for yourself, for prosperity, or because you aspire to future
publication, a writer’s workshop at ReFLEX will strengthen your pen and
your heart.
